HOLY TOGETHER
"Holy Together is a remarkably engaging and timely reflection on the opportunities for married couples to grow in holiness. Kathleen's transparency about her own marriage with her husband and her several decades of classroom experience make for a very credible and practical challenge of appreciating how everyday living in marriage can be a continuing source of enrichment and deepening spirituality." - William Skylstad, Bishop Emeritus of Spokane
THE LITURGY OF MOTHERHOOD
Using the liturgical year as her framework, Kathy explores the spirituality of many kinds of mothers and the ways that various aspects of the Christian tradition shed light on the daily and unique holiness of motherhood. "Kathleen Finley weaves the threads of our rich faith tradition into women's experience in a way that both affirms and challenges women to a deeper awareness of the sacred call to motherhood." - May Jo Pederson, lay advisor to the USCC Committee on Marriage and Family
MORE SAVORING GOD
Savoring God has, consistently, been one of Kathy's most popular books. Its many fans will be happy to know that now there's a second collection of meditations for "savoring God with all our senses." Prayer can easily involve the ordinary things that we use and come across in our everyday lives. As with the first Savoring God, these brief prayer exercises use all kinds of ordinary things to inspire prayer, from a photograph to a door; from a book to a needle and thread; from a hammer and nails to a seashell.
PRAYERS FOR THE NEWLY MARRIED
A beautiful collection of short prayers on all kinds of experiences from married life...and don't let the title fool you, it's for all couples, no matter how long they have been married. A great wedding gift, too, of course! A religious sister we know said that her community is using it because so many of the prayers apply to everyday life in a religious community, too! "A nice little 'extra' to include with a wedding gift. The prayers address everyday issues couples will face in the coming years. It would also be nice for couples to receive from their own church when planning their wedding. An unusual but practical book for any couple." - from an amazon.com reader review
CHRISTIAN FAMILIES IN THE REAL WORLD
This book first appeared in 1984. It was the first book to "unpack" the theological insight that the family, in its various forms, is the domestic church, the most basic unit of the Church. Subtitled "Reflections on a Spirituality for the Domestic Church," it won the Thomas More Medal "For a Distinguished Contribution to Catholic Literature." After two editions under the generic title, Building Christian Families, now with a new Preface and some minor revisions it's back in print under its original title, and it still answers, in practical and theological terms, the question, "What does it mean to say that the family is the domestic church?"
DEAR GOD
This easy-to-use book of prayers provides a much-needed resource for families who want to celebrate the everyday events of their lives. Dear God is the ideal way to involve parents, older siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and others in the faith life of young children in their families. It holds the promise of a deeper relationship with God and those we love.

This collection of prayers for parents feeds the spiritual side of the prospect of imminent parenthood. This book contains a series of simple, kindly, and heartfelt prayers appropriate for all stages of a new child's life, from preconception until the first birthday.
THE PEOPLE'S CATECHISM
We wrote Part Two of this summary of "Catholic Faith for Adults," on the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds. We're surprised at how frequently in our travels people mention having read this book and how they go back to it time after time. "This is an intense book! I personally felt a need to read it slowly over a long period of time as there was much to savor here. The subject matter also lends itself to discussion . . . This book, like the Catechism of the Catholic Church, is divided into four sections: Faith, Sacraments, Morals, and Prayer. Each of the four sections is written by a different author (or team of authors) . . . The essays are clear, contemporary, and meaningful." - from an amazon.com reader review
